    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

46% ABV, 750 ml, Limited Release, French Oak Cask

The Dewar’s Double Double 21 Year Old “Magma Stone Toasted” Scotch Whisky is where tradition meets a spark of innovation—literally. This isn’t your average aged whisky; it’s crafted through Dewar’s unique four-stage aging process (that’s the “Double Double” magic), where single malts and grain whiskies are blended, rested, and aged to silky perfection.

But here’s where it gets really cool: the final finish happens in oak casks that have been stone-toasted using volcanic magma stones from Iceland. Yep, real volcanic rock! This gives the whisky an extra layer of complexity, bringing out rich oak flavors with a beautifully balanced toasty edge.

    What’s in the glass?

Aroma: Imagine warm cinnamon, cloves, and baked apples fresh from the oven—cozy and inviting.
Taste: Smooth layers of caramel, toasted grains, and rich spices, all wrapped up with hints of fruit and creamy sweetness.
Finish: Long, warm, and just the right amount of spice to leave you wanting another sip.

At 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, every drop of this whisky keeps its full character intact. Originally a travel-exclusive gem, it’s the kind of bottle that’ll impress whisky aficionados while still being approachable enough for curious newcomers. Perfect for slow sipping, special occasions, or showing off your whisky knowledge at your next gathering.

From Dewar's: "With its true spirit of discovery, DEWAR’S
is pioneering a new premium frontier within
whisky with its stone-toasted cask DD21
Limited Editions. Before any cask is used
for maturation, heat is applied to the inside
to help break down its solid structure and
open up the wood for interaction with the
whisky maturing inside. This allows the
    whisky to develop cask-influenced flavours,
    colour, and intricate characteristics. Unlike
    charring which involves direct contact
between wood and flames, toasting is a
more delicate method of treating the cask
which yeilds more intense and super smooth
flavors. When stones are incorporated into
this stage, they are placed in a metal cylinder
within the cask, gradually emitting heat
to gently open the oak’s pores. Generally,
    utilising different stones, adjusting toasting
durations, and employing various oak types
can yield diverse flavour combinations in the
final whisky. Their use for toasting revolves
    around Stephanie’s inquisitiveness and
relentless drive to advance the Scotch whisky
    industry while discovering innovative ways
to enhance flavours from casks in our most
    cherished expressions.:
