The oldest house in Bas Armagnac, the Dartigalongue family began to distill in 1813. In 1838, Pascal Dartigalongue founded the first Maison d'Armagnac in Nogaro, the heart of the Bas Armagnac region. In 1870 son Joseph acquired a large vineyard in Salles d'Armagnac near Nogaro.

The Dartigalongue Vintage 1941 Bas Armagnac, aged for 80 years, embodies the legacy of meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of this historic Armagnac house. Aged in French oak barrels in the distinctive dry and humid cellars of Dartigalongue, this Bas Armagnac captures the profound influence of long-term aging. The nose unfolds with notes of dried fruits, hints of leather, and complex spices, evolving into deeper aromas of aged wood and vanilla. The palate reveals layers of prunes, dates, and nutty nuances, balanced by a smooth, lingering finish. This vintage, one of the rare older releases by Dartigalongue, exemplifies the luxurious character and complexity typical of long-aged Bas Armagnacs, promising an exceptional tasting experience for connoisseurs
