40% ABV, 750 ml, bottled in 2022

The Dartigalongue Vintage 1942 Bas Armagnac, aged for an impressive 80 years, embodies the heritage and refined character typical of Dartigalongue's Bas Armagnacs. This rare spirit spent its early decades in traditional French oak barrels before transitioning into glass demijohns, where it matured further to balance the wood influence and retain its delicate flavors. This long aging process endows the Armagnac with deep, complex notes such as candied orange, spiced apple, and dried figs, woven with hints of vanilla, rich caramel, and warm oak. The texture is notably smooth and dense, with a finish that lingers, offering a harmonious blend of dried fruits and spice.

Dartigalongue, one of the oldest Armagnac houses in Nogaro, France, preserves its vintage releases with utmost care, ensuring that each bottle maintains its distinctive terroir and artisanal quality. Each sip of this 1942 vintage is a tribute to time-honored craftsmanship and the evolving flavor complexity that only an 80-year aging journey can bring
