The oldest house in Bas Armagnac, the Dartigalongue family began to distill in 1813. In 1838, Pascal Dartigalongue founded the first Maison d'Armagnac in Nogaro, the heart of the Bas Armagnac region. In 1870 son Joseph acquired a large vineyard in Salles d'Armagnac near Nogaro.

The Dartigalongue Vintage 1965 Bas Armagnac, aged 57 years, showcases the elegance of long-aged spirits from the historic Armagnac house. With a rich copper hue, the nose reveals layers of candied orange peel, peach blossoms, and vanilla, hinting at the influence of its decades in Gascon oak. On the palate, it delivers remarkable freshness for its age, with flavors of cocoa, roasted nuts, and a touch of rancio, that prized quality found in well-aged Armagnacs. Silky and viscous, this vintage offers a luxurious, enduring finish with nutty and spiced undertones, characteristic of Dartigalongue’s meticulous aging process.

This spirit is a testament to Dartigalongue's dedication to the craft, emphasizing complex flavors that evolve throughout the tasting experience, making it a rare and memorable choice for Armagnac enthusiasts.
