This Cask Strength Bourbon is a tribute to "Meemaw" Freeland, the beloved namesake of Freeland Spirits, who inspired founder Jill Kuehler that women can do - and be - any damn thing they want. Bottled at Cask Strength, this high-proof Bourbon allows the spice from the high rye in our mash bill to truly shine and blends a touch of the Pacific Northwest terroir with a final rest in Oregon Pinot Noir barrels.
Mashbill: 70% corn, 20% rye, 10% malted barley
Barrel: Charred American Oak
Finished for an additional 6 months in Elk Cove Pinot Noir Barrels
Aroma: Rich vanilla, caramel, and dark cocoa
Taste: Flavors of vanilla and caramel dominate, with hints of fine leather, and juicy cherry
Finish: The high proof provides a quick punch followed by a velvet smooth finish that continues to linger after each sip
