This liqueur is crafted from a historic 19-century protocol, faithfully re-created by Tempus Fugit. The makers sourced Venezuelan cacao beans and whole Mexican vanilla pods, distilled raw cacao, then macerated further cacao and crushed vanilla bean to build depth and texture. No artificial colours or flavours are added; the rich medium-brown hue comes naturally from the ingredients and process. With a sugar-rich “crème” base, it delivers full-bodied sweetness and smoothness in every sip.
Nose: Rich aromas of powdered cocoa and toasted cacao nibs dominate, alongside warm vanilla bean, a whisper of roasted coffee and soft caramel sweetness.
Palate: Velvety and full-flavoured—initially buttery with luscious dark chocolate, moving into a mid-palate of deep cocoa powder and vanilla cream, then touched lightly by almond skin and subtle nutty warmth.
