The 2023 CRŪ Albariño, 50 case Production, is a lovely example of how aging in stainless steel brings out the true essence of this wine. The fermentation enhances the natural fresh fruit characteristics found in Albariño, intensifying the zingy flavors of candied orange peel, lime and green apple. Bright acidity is prevalent throughout with vibrant flavors of grapefruit and lemon.
Albariño is a perfect companion to seafood. Try it with fresh or barbequed oysters in a garlic butter sauce or fried calamari with chili garlic sauce.
Edna Valley is the coolest growing region in all of California at a mere 5.4 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The ocean’s influence creates an unusually long growing season and allows the fruit in these vineyards to ripen to its full flavor while preserving its trademark lively acidity.
