The iconic liqueur. Intense, fresh tart blackcurrant with succulent cherry and plum hints. Rich, velvety texture with full-bodied blackcurrants that continue to open with hints of cherry and plum, becoming more luscious with exotic zest, fruit jam notes and a final wave of creme brulee. Rich-dry balance led by blackcurrant notes and hints of cherry.
"Created from two varietals of fruit de cassis (blackcurrant), this low-proof liqueur, produced in the Bourgogne region, is the original - as Henri Lejay married the daughter of the founder. The nose is exquisite: scents of lavender and plum marry with aromas of blackcurrant. The palate smoothes dreamily over the tongue, bringing a tartness to the sides of the cheek, cherry-lime and a whisper of blue petals - with that velvety hamminess that finishes the parade with an exotic Asian spice."
