The Ancho Reyes Barrica Barrel Aged Chile Liqueur is a rich and complex spirit that elevates the traditional Ancho Reyes recipe through the art of barrel aging. Crafted in Puebla, Mexico, this liqueur is made with hand-picked ancho chiles (sun-dried poblano peppers) and aged in oak barrels to impart additional layers of depth and sophistication.
In the glass, it boasts a deep amber color with mahogany highlights, hinting at its time in wood.
The nose is an enticing medley of smoky ancho chile, caramelized sugar, and vanilla, intertwined with subtle notes of dried fruit, cinnamon, and cocoa. A whisper of oak adds warmth and complexity.
On the palate, this liqueur is bold and velvety, with a perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and spicy flavors.
