"Hine Angels is a magnificent 17 year old Calvados Pays d'Auge which has finished its ageing with a 6 month finish in 3 old Hine Cognac casks.
"I remember a trip to Cognac a few years ago where I was lucky enough to stop at Hine and enjoy a wonderful vertical of old vintages of cognac, comfortably seated in the lounges of the Hine house.
Few Cognac estates can offer such a beautiful journey through time across a range of vintages.
By tradition, we have often used old Cognac barrels to age our calvados. These casks bring floral flavours and silky tannins. So it naturally occurred to me to try using some of their casks for our Experimental range.
I chose a 17-year-old Calvados du Pays d'Auge with great depth to match the flavors of the Hine cognacs."
